Acrylic and gel do not damage the nail plate. Three things do. Filing too aggressively into the natural nail before application, prising a set off instead of soaking it, and leaving a lifted set on for six weeks so moisture gets trapped underneath. All three are technique and maintenance, not product, which is why the same set that ruins one person’s nails is fine on someone else’s.
Refills exist for a safety reason, not a sales one
As the nail grows, a gap opens between the extension and the cuticle. Once it lifts, water and bacteria get in and sit in a warm sealed space, which is precisely how a green nail infection starts. A refill every two to three weeks closes that gap. Leaving a set on for two months because it still looks fine from a distance is the actual risk.

How nail salon runs, step by step
Nail check
We look at the natural nail first. If there is lifting or infection from a previous set, that gets dealt with before anything new goes on.
Prep
Cuticle work and minimal buffing. We do not file into the nail plate to make product stick.
Application
One to two hours depending on length, shape and art.
Refill or removal
Back in two to three weeks. Removal is always soaked off, never prised.

Acrylic 9,000 on the hands and 8,000 on the feet. Gel X 7,000 and 6,000.
Art
Simple art is included. 3D and blooming art are 500 per finger, chrome 200 and charms 150.
Refills
4,000 every two to three weeks, cheaper than a new set.
Condition
Damaged nails sometimes need a few weeks bare before a new set.
Removal
3,000, and always soaked off rather than prised.

Nail salon questions we are asked
The product does not. Over filing before application, prising a set off, and leaving a lifted set on too long all do. Applied and maintained properly, the nail underneath comes back normal.
Every two to three weeks. It is not upselling. Once the set lifts at the cuticle, water gets trapped underneath and that is how infections start.
Acrylic nails are PKR 9,000 on the hands and 8,000 on the feet. Gel X is 7,000 on the hands and 6,000 on the feet. A refill is 4,000 and removal 3,000.
Please do not pull them off. That takes layers of the nail plate with it. They soak off, and we will do it for you, or tell you how if you cannot come in.
