What platelet rich plasma actually is
We take a small sample of your blood, spin it in a centrifuge, and separate the layer that is dense in platelets. Those platelets carry growth factors, the signalling proteins your body uses to repair tissue. Injected into the scalp or the skin, they raise the local repair signal. Nothing foreign goes in, which is why the reaction risk is close to zero, and also why the result depends heavily on what your body is capable of doing in the first place.
The honest line on hair loss
PRP thickens and holds hair that is still there but miniaturising. Where the follicle has scarred over and closed, there is nothing left to stimulate and no injection will bring it back. That line is visible on examination, and we will show you where you sit on it before you commit to a course. If you are past it, the honest answer is a transplant conversation or accepting it, not six sessions of something that cannot work.
PRGF, PDRN and exosomes, in plain terms
PRGF is a refined preparation of the same idea, filtered further so it is purer plasma. PDRN, sold as salmon sperm, is a repair molecule used for hydration and skin quality rather than hair. Exosomes are the newest and by far the most expensive, and the evidence behind them is real but still young. We will tell you which of these is worth your money for your specific problem, and often the answer is the cheapest one on the list.
Why it matters
Hair loss is the most emotionally loaded thing anyone walks in here about, and it is the easiest market to sell a course into. People arrive having spent a year on oils, shampoos and a tonic recommended by a chemist, by which point the shedding has usually moved past the stage where it was easiest to hold. PRP is genuinely useful in that window and genuinely useless after it, and the only thing that decides which side you are on is somebody actually looking at your scalp. That examination is free here and it is where this treatment either starts or honestly does not.

Every treatment on this site carries its price. You will not be quoted a different figure because of how you dressed for the consultation.
PRP treatment questions we are asked
For hair that is thinning but still present, yes, there is reasonable evidence and we see it work. For follicles that have already closed, no. Anyone selling you a course without examining the scalp first is not checking which of the two you have.

The scalp injections sting, and we use a numbing cream and a fine needle. Most people describe it as uncomfortable for ten minutes rather than painful.
Sometimes, and often not. The evidence is real but younger than PRP’s, and the price is several times higher. We will tell you honestly when standard PRP will get you the same place for a fraction of the money.
